Staff Spotlight: Isabelle Roch-Peltier

We are so excited to introduce you to the Bakehouse Team!

We enjoy getting to know everyone who walks through our doors, so we thought you may like to know a little bit more about those behind the counter here at the Bakehouse! Each month we'll feature a member of our team, share a little bit about them, and how they made their way to the Bakehouse. Without further ado, please meet this month's featured team member, Franklin Bakehouse’s incredible Pastry Head Baker, Isabelle Roch-Peltier!

Name:

Isabelle Roch-Peltier

Position:

Pastry Head Baker

Share a little about yourself:

I am from France and moved in Franklin, TN almost 3 years ago. My husband Francois and I are parents of 6 wonderful children. We love it so much here- we call it home! I have been baking for my family for more than 20 years now and even stepped into the magic world of sourdough during the pandemic. Besides being a full time mom all these years I had a lot of activities such as charity for people with disabilities, teaching, volunteering at church.

What is your favorite part about working at the Bakehouse?

I started at the front in December 2021 and moved to the bakery a few weeks ago. I love being creative and baking all these delicious pastries for the delight of the community.

Why did you want to join the team?

I have been a customer since opening. After trying Randy’s bread, we could not live anymore without one of his loafs on our dinner table. I kept saying one day I would work there. When a position opened, I jumped in immediately, it made so much sense.

What is your favorite Bakehouse menu item?

THE BREAD! The cranberry pecan bread is in first place- a must try!

Describe your Bakehouse team in one word:

Only one? There is so many words to describe them. Supportive, fun, talented, friendly, AMAZING!

When you are not at the Bakehouse, what are you up to?

Spending time with my family, cooking French cuisine for my friends. We bought a fixer upper house a year ago : when my hands are not covered with flour and butter, they are with grout and paint! I also love playing piano, and embroidery cross stitch. So relaxing!

Anything else you’d like to mention?

I would like to thank Angie for giving me this opportunity. Her positive leadership and her talent are so inspiring to me. I am very grateful to be part of this amazing team!

We are so thankful to have Isabelle a part of our family! Isabelle’s creativity, work ethic, and personality make her such a valuable asset to our team! Thank you for taking the time to read this bit about our Pastry Head Baker. Be sure to try our house-made pastries that Isabelle bakes and creates fresh daily!
